Japanese Shadow Cards (French made) circa 1880

Cardboard box containing 9 x ‘Shadow Puppet’, game cards. Cards are mono coloured printed onto individual pieces of cardboard; each card depicts a different illustration of a hand gesture to produced a shadow puppet effect. Box is red with a printed label on front with coloured type ‘L.E.S OMBRES JAPONAISES W.X.Paris.’.
