The story of the B-17 bomber Memphis Belle on its final mission over Germany to bomb the submarine pens at Wilhelmshaven as told by William Wyler. Shows the 8th Bomber Command air crews being briefed and ground crew preparations. Contains rare wartime footage of actual combat conditions.
