An adaptation of that part of Homer’s Odyssey dealing with the 10 year ordeal of returning home to Ithaca. Stylized visuals are used to recount the story of Odysseus and his companions as they experience the adventures and terrors of the epic journey, notably with the Cyclops, the Laestrygonians, Circe, the inhabitants of Hades, the Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis, Aeolus, Helios and the sacred cattle and Calypso. Narrated by Julie Harris. Models, sculpture and monster animation by John Matthews. Suitable for middle and upper secondary levels.
