A comic musical set in Sydney against the background of a new wave of Australian music in the early 1980s. A reluctant barmaid in her family’s hotel, Jackie (Jo Kennedy) wants to be a singing star and is assisted by her eccentric 14 year old cousin, willing to manipulate the media to make his cousin famous. Cast includes Ross O’Donovan, Max Cullen and Margo Lee. Original music by “The Swingers” and “Mental As Anything”.
