‘Andrea Chenier’, opera in four acts, by Umberto Giordano with libretto by Luigi Illica was performed at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden by world-renowned opera singer Placido Domingo in the role of Andrea Chenier, supported by Bulgarian soprano, Anna Tomowa-Sintow as Maddalena di Coigny and Italian baritone, Giorgio Zancanaro as Gerard accompanied by The Royal Opera Chorus and The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House conducted by Julius Rudel.
