Television production recorded at Palazzo dello Sport, Milan, Italy of William Shakespeare’s tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet”, featuring principal ballet dancers Rudolf Nureyev (Romeo), Carla Fracci (Juliet) and Margot Fonteyn (Lady Capulet). Directed by Nureyev with the cast from his La Scala, Milan production, the Corps de Ballet of Teatro Alla Scala, director Giuseppe Carbone, with music by Prokofiev played by the La Scala Orchestra conducted by Michel Sasson.
