This guide to research and access to local video artist’s work is intended as an important resource for all curator’s, galleries, students and art lovers with a desire to better understand and appreciate a thriving cultural medium. Contains artworks which have been shown in a gallery context from established, mid career and emerging artists from Australia. The artists included on this tape are: The Kingpins, Starlie Geikie, Kathy Bossinakis, Gary Willis, and Matthew Griffin. Sponsored by the City of Melbourne, The Victorian College of the Arts and the Kings Artist Run Space.

Our collection comprises over 40,000 moving image works, acquired and catalogued between the 1940s and early 2000s. As a result, some items may reflect outdated, offensive and possibly harmful views and opinions. ACMI is working to identify and redress such usages.
