Max Fisher (Jason Schwartzman) is a highly eccentric 10th grade student at Rushmore Academy whose life is altered when he meets and falls in love with the elegant Miss Cross (Olivia Williams), a recently widowed first grade teacher. Max finds himself caught in a strange love triangle when his close friend Mr. Blume (Bill Murray), a wealthy steel tycoon also falls for Miss Cross. Written by Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson, this films addresses the intricate relationships that evolve between students, teachers, friends and family.
