SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows Media Player (Windows) or Quick Time Version 3 or above (Mac) installed. The movie file (MPEG) format must be checked in the players Tools>Options>Formats menu. Minimum system requirements: PC: Pentium 266, Windows 95/98, Windows Media Player Version 6.0, 32 MB RAM, 800 x 600 SVGA display set to 16-bit (thousands) colour, 4 x CD-ROM card, sound card. Macintosh: Power Macintosh, OS 8.5, Quick Time Version 3.0, 32 MB RAM, 800 x 600 monitor set to thousands of colours, 4 x CD-ROM drive, sound card. Presented in four sections - literature, popular publishing, film and television, visual and performing arts - this CD ROM presents images, excerpts and movie clips from Indonesia to provide a rich array of cultural information. Information can be printed, sociological, geographical and historical context accessed, and teacher guides for suggested classroom activity for years 10-12 utilised. The CD also provides a general overview of Indonesia, a map of the region, searchable interface as well as a glossary.
