A compilation of short newsreel segments. 1. ‘Where traffic is all wet’ captures the hustle and bustle of Shanghai harbour, followed by a Japanese harbour showing a ferry designed to take boats overland and a water tunnel. 2. ‘Glimpses of Australia’ takes a look at seals and penguins on Lady Julia Percy Island located 200 miles from Melbourne. 3. ‘A Glimpse of Canberra’ produced by the Development and Migration Commision visits parliament House. 4. ‘[Melbourne Zoo] shows Jimmy the champanzee, ostriches, tigers, lions, leopards, bears and a novelty segment showing a Mr Wilkie tugging at the tail of an accommodating tiger.
