This documentary looks at the history of Australia through the work of artist Sidney Nolan. Discussed is the 18th century and the exploration of Australia by the Europeans, convict settlement, gold discovery through to multiculturalism of the 20th century. Narrated by Frederick Parslow with script written by Elwyn Lynn ‘An Australian dream’ also shows historic footage of Nolan and his exhibition at Heide Museum of Modern Art including music by Percy Grainger on piano roll courtesy of the Grainger Museum.
