A psychological drama set during World War 1. A group of Jewish civilians living in Polish Galicia flee from the Cossacks and become trapped in a tiny inn. As time passes, fear gives way and relationships between both the civilians and the inn keepers family develop, whilst still fearing that they will be discovered at any moment.
