Short documentary looking at CSIRO’s research program in the Murray Valley region which aims to hybridize different varieties of grapes in order to create new varieties suited to the hotter Australian climate and more alkaline salty soil. Of 20,000 attempts, only thirty types have been considered worthy of further multiplication.
