After his FBI agent wife is killed by an extremist group, college professor Michael Faraday moves his son and himself to a new neighborhood, to make a fresh start. Driving home from work one day he saves the life of a boy, the son of his neighbours Oliver and Cheryl Lang. Becoming friends with the Langs’, Michael’s life begins to improve, he has a new girlfriend, his son is happy, and he has a job teaching American History at the local college - specialising in terrorism and extremist activities. Soon he begins to notice details of Oliver’s stories don’t add up. Are his neighbours as normal as they seem? Cast includes Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack.
