After a whirlwind romance, Violette, an unemployed actress agrees on impulse to marry Gustave, a charming aristocrat. After the couple returns to Gustave’s estate - an old chateau surrounded by forests, Violette begins to realise that beneath her groom’s charming exterior lies an undreamt of savagery. When she finds herself drawn to his brother, Bastien, Gustave is overcome by jealousy and turns to violence. In French with English subtitles.
