Shows training of native recruits for the Papua New Guinea Division, Royal Australian Navy, at Manus Island and in Australia. Training includes strategy on land, at sea, survival at sea, as well as technical instruction in engineering, navigation, radio operating and other specialised fields. Shows an intensive campaign of recruitment throughout the island, and the enthusiastic response of the Papua New Guineans.
