This documentary narrated by Stacey Keach attempts to look behind the mask of the shy young tragic screen icon, James Dean. Footage from early television appearances, stills from his life, and clips from his three films are interwoven with interviews with his co-workers. Includes interviews with Sal Mineo, Nicholas Ray, Dennis Hopper, Carroll Baker and Natalie Wood, among others.
