Denial

Australia, 1997

Film

Kane is a 14-year old with a plan. Using his brother as bait, he steals some money off a man with a model train-set. But the plan goes wrong. If Kane is not careful the things that he wants to keep hidden will be let out. This film deals with the issue of sexual abuse through the eyes of a teenage boy who wants to forget. A very real and powerful portrayl of human nature. (Awards: Winner of the Southern Star Award for Best Film, Winner ATOM Awards 1998 Best Tertiary Short Fiction)
