Charlie Chaplin, handyman in a pawnshop, finds himself competing for the attention of the shop-owner’s daughter (Edna Purviance) with the pawnshop assistant. Shows Charlie as a combination janitor and assistant who gets involved in comic rivalry with the other assistant, causing confusion with customers and finally turning hero in a robbery. Cast also includes Henry Bergman, John Rand, Albert Austin, Wesley Ruggles and Eric Campbell.
