The title of this film refers to the book naming the individuals the sadistic ruler of France during the Revolution, Robespierre (Richard Basehart), plans to execute by guillotine. Charles D’Aubigny (Robert Cummings), is enlisted by a group of political moderates to try and retrieve the book and expose Robespierre’s corruption. Also starring Arlene Dahl, Richard Hart, Arnold Moss and Beulah Bondi. The film is also known as “Reign of terror”.
