A young boy, (Butch Patrick) dreams away his boredom by entering an animated fantasy world which he enters by driving through the Phantom Tollbooth. In this world letters and numbers are at war with one another, and the boy must rescue two Princesses, Rhyme and Reason who have been exiled to a castle hovering in the sky. Based on Norton Juster’s book, this film is MGM’s first full-length feature cartoon. Voices provided by Mel Blanc, June Foray and Daws Butler
