First Nations peoples used stories to teach their children about the laws and myths of their land. Pauline McLeod tells five stories about unique Australian animals. Each story is laced with colourful drawings. The stories featured are: ‘The Giant goanna and the black snake’; ‘The Platypus’; ‘How the kangaroo got its pouch’; ‘Why does the kookaburra laugh?’; ‘The Bunyip’.
