John Romer details the life of Paneb, one of the most extraordinary men who lived in the village of Deir El medina; village of the Royal Tomb makers. He also examines the famed erotic papyrus of Turin, visits the ancient gold mines where criminals were sentenced to a life of hard labour in the most inhumane conditions and tours the great temple of Medinet Habu.
