John Rhys-Davis narrates five excellent episodes which showcases archaeological exploration around the Mediterranean. French divers discover a cave filled with 18,000 year old rock paintings in “A Cave beneath the sea.” The Minoan colony of the island of Thera is shown in “Lost city of the Aegean.” The daily life of ancient Egypt is unlocked in “Forgotten mummies.” After World War 2, Schliemann’s discoveries at Troy, disappeared and the mystery is investigated in “Lost treasures of Troy.” The secret rituals of the women of Lesbos in Ancient Greece is the subject of the final episode entitled “Women of Lesbos.”
