Selection of seven short films by students from the Victorian College of the Arts. “The Baron”: A Young man recalls his friendship with an eccentric misfit who thinks he is the Red Baron. “Toll”: Tense, surreal drama inspired by the horror of the road toll. “Ultra vires”: An animated film about the mythical struggle between a girl and a dragon. “Burning moths”: A girl in white visits the share house from hell. “Trumpet”: Poignant story of a boy’s effort to win his father’s approval. “Food (for) thought: (three) ingredients from the mass consumer diet”: An animated film about bread, religion and television. “Lost and vicious”: Noir nasties fight it out on the highway at night.
