This outstanding production documents the Renaissance through a study of lives and works of the artists who gave meaning to creative expression. Discover the triumph and trials of Brunelleschi, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and other masters. Review the movement of persons from craftsmen to artists and the challenge to unwarranted control by the guilds, the church and affluent patrons. Finally, examine the currency of these issues through interviews with contemporary artists.
