Episode number 1 of Series “The Global Economy”.
This first episode of the Open Learning economics course examines the changing international relations arising from the increasingly transglobal nature of financial markets. The first part of the episode examines general issues of international trade while the second focuses on the automobile industry in Australia and explores some of the pressures, issues and dynamics involved in restructuring a national industry to maximise competitiveness in international markets.
