Episode number 5 of Series “Understanding maternal grief”.
This program addresses the issue of women’s grief following a reproductive loss. Reproductive loss is seen to encompass miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, the birth of a handicapped baby and infertility. The video incorporates dicussion of the major psychological aspects of maternal grief with Margaret Nicol (Psychologist) and Dr. Howard Chilton (Neonatologist), along with interviews with bereaved women. The four bereaved women describe their journey in grief over many years, presenting those experiences which were helpful and unhelpful in this process.
