This ballet, directed by George Ogilvie, tells the story of Dr. Coppelius, a toymaker and magician, who attempts to bring to life his beautiful doll, Coppelia. He is fooled by the mischievous Swanhilda who masquerades as Coppelia and saves her lover Franz, from the Doctors’ magic. Features Colin Peasley, Lisa Pavane, Greg Horsman and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra conducted by Noel Smith. Music by Leo Delibes. Choreography by Arthur Saint-Leon.
