Episode number 8 of Series “Dragon’s tongue”.
This program looks at the Peking Opera genre of juggling and acrobatics. Vocabulary in this section is concerned with questions such as “Do you perform often?’ and “Is Peking Opera difficult to learn?” Other sections include a look at jade, the “Yang qin” ( a Chinese musical instrument), three short dramatisations and a calligraphy section on the character for skill and its derivatives. Presented by Colin MacKerras.
