Our sun is a star that powers the earth. it gives life, creates weather, warms the oceans, the land and even the ice. This program looks at the history of man’s involvement with the sun, and with the latest research into such phenomena as sun spots, solar flares and the solar wind, using infra-red and x-ray satellite photography to illustrate the immense forces which ultimately control the future of the earth.
