Many of Australia’s urban First Nations people live in appalling physical conditions and are seen by some Australians as outcasts. But to Father Ted Kennedy, a Catholic priest who works in the inner-city suburb of Redfern, many of these marginalised people retain an essential quality of life missing in white society.
