Episode number 10 of Series “A World of Festivals”.
Every April, in the Dutch city of Brielle, the community holds a festival of dance, wine and song to commemorate the 1572 victory of Flemish pirates and beggars over the invading Spanish ships. The festival involves a procession through the main square and a re-creation of the battle between the pirates and the Spanish sailors.
