The first ten years of Countdown coincided with, and was part of, an incredible growth in the Australian music scene. The emergence of a wealth of new talent, highlighted by Countdown appearances, is represented by the performances which includes Skyhooks, AC/DC, Australian Crawl, Split Enz, Inxs, Mondo Rock, Renee Geyer, Richard Clapton, Ted Mulray Gang and others.
