This film combines striking film segments and photographs with dramatic footage of daily life in black South African townships and riveting interviews with Winnie Mandela to tell the unique story of her life as wife of imprisoned ANC leader Nelson Mandela and the foremost woman activist in the struggle against apartheid in South Africa.
