Episode of Series “Edge of the Cold”.
One of four films about Macquarie Island. In September giant elephant seals come to mate and pup. This program follows events at the largest harem on the island, with 1,500 cows and 50 males. Narrated by Sir Edmund Hillary, production and photography by David Parer.
