A simplified version for schools and general audiences of the prize-winning CSIRO film “The Echidna”. Experienced naturalists have seen for the first time in this film the young echidna in its mother’s pouch at different stages of growth. Highlights its uniqueness as an egg-laying mammal and shows the echidna in its natural habitat, feeding, reproductive techniques and development of the young.
