Cable making industry in Australia. From the raw materials of copper , lead , aluminium, rubber and plastic we follow the process to the finished products. Shows the light flexible cable for domestic use as telephone and ironing cords; and heavy cables used in elevators, and mobile cranes; finishes with the making and laying of the co-axial cable which now links the telecommunications systems between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.
