The history of calligraphy - or picture writing - in art is traced from prehistoric times to the present day. Varied used of calligraphy are shown in demonstrations by Eliot O’Hara, George Post, and Paul Travis, and in examples from the works of Burchfield, Dufy, Klee, Marin and Van Gogh.
