The hardships, disappointments and joys of a thalidomide child living in a society of physically normal people. Brett Nielsen, a Sydney boy, born without arms, was taken to London for treatment. Tells of the personal sacrifices made by his parents, the obstacles they have faced and their efforts to accustom Brett to his situation wihtout indulging in self pity. Shows the fitting of artificial limbs and the activities in which these enable Brett to participate with normal children. Briefly looks at his future.
