Presented as a dramatic short film, the narrative follows the protagonist, Len, as he discovers he is partially deaf due to twenty years of working with loud machines in a factory and goes on a crusade to improve working conditions. The film is directed at employers as well as employees, showing the importance of wearing safety gear and machines being modified or insulated to limit sound production. The film contains light-hearted moments of comedy, as Len goes about convincing his colleagues and management of the significance of the issue.
