When a sensitive and accomplished musician plays on such a beautiful instrument as this cello, there comes into being a creation of beauty - music whose power stirs our emotions. what causes this effect - the composer, performer or craftsman who made the instrument? This portrait if the cellist and the history of the cello itself corresponds with the different movements of the music played.
