Shows how technology is helping doctors in the three problem areas of time, training and techniques. The use of electronic diagnostic equipment and information retrieval systems, the training methods which allow students to practice on mock-ups of a patient can now overcome many problems. Fibre optics, pressurized operating rooms, and freezing of diseased tissue are among the many treatment techniques described. Narrated by Walter Cronkite.
