Intended to deepen our appreciation and understanding of Proust’s works by reviewing some of the masterpieces of art and music which inspired him and led him to recognise his vocation as a writer. The effect of the Dreyfus case and the Great War are indicated and the lack of interest in his work during his lifetime.
