The history of Madras, its public buildings, crafts, Museum and National Gallery with sculptures and archaeological remains from Dravidian times; the Theosophical Society; music and dancing; Kanchi, one of the seven sacred cities, its masterweavers, its temples with frescoes and sculptures dating from the 8th century A.D.; Mahibalipuram with temples and sculptures cut from solid rock.
