Narrated by the sculptor, the film shows a number of works by John Dowie. The Adelaide-born sculptor uses plaster, stone, bronze and aluminium as mediums for his works. Various sculptures around Adelaide are featured; the wall reliefs in the Library of the South Australian Institute of Technology and the fountain at Victoria Square amongst them.
