Jacqueline du Pre, a sixteen year old girl who was a pupil of Pablo Casals and described by critics as one of the world’s greatest cellists. Accompanied by Iris du Pre on the piano, she plays ‘Song Without Words’ Opus 109 by Mendelsohn, ‘Intermezzo’ from ‘Goyescas’ by Granados and ‘Allegro Appassionato’ by Saint-Saens.
