Shows how the ancient lost-wax process for making castings is still used in investment casting. Follows the stages by which the ceramic die is prepared to receive the molten metal, the careful inspection of the die and the two different methods of casting. Demonstrates the whole process of casting and gives a series of examples of articles in common use made by investment casting.
