Episode of Series “Basic Life Science”.
Uses time lapse and photomicrography to study various insects on a rose bush - aphids, ants, lacewings, and ladybird beetles. Illustrates states in the life cycle of insects; complete metamorphosis in the lacewing and ladybird beetle and incomplete metamorphosis in the aphid. Shows close-up views of ants protecting aphids from ladybird beetles.
