A survey of the traditional handicrafts of Japan. Crafts shown in some detail are the hand painting of costumes and features; spinning and dyeing of thread for home weaving; the making of bamboo baskets, paper lanterns and decorated paper fans. Examples of clay pottery of all shapes, sizes and design with intricate and skilful glazing and decoration is also presented.
